The patient taps a link and is in. No app, no meeting ID read out over the phone, and nothing to reconcile afterwards.

How you use it

  1. Confirm the booking as Video

Or start a consultation now with the patient’s name and phone. The visit is tied to that one appointment.

  2. Send the link on WhatsApp

The patient taps it and is in the call from their browser. No app, no meeting ID, no account.

  3. Join and consult

The note and the prescription you write stay with the same appointment, on the chart.

Most teleconsultation happens on a general meeting tool, which means the consultation lives in one place and the record lives in another, and somebody has to carry the middle by hand. That somebody is usually you, later.

Four steps, and the order matters

1. Appointment confirmed
The join link is created against that appointment and nothing else.
2. Patient taps the link
Opens in their browser. No app, no meeting ID, no account.
3. You consult
The scribe can draft the note while you talk, on the same visit.
4. Call ends, link dies
The note and the prescription are already on the chart.
  • Nothing for the patient to download, which is the step most teleconsultations die at
  • Attached to the appointment, so the note, the prescription and the record sit together
  • Runs on the same AWS infrastructure, covered by the Business Associate Agreement

The link dies with the visit. A join link is issued for one appointment and stops working when the consultation ends, so an old message cannot let anyone back into a room. There is no permanent meeting address to leak.

Telemedicine, done to the guidelines. India’s Telemedicine Practice Guidelines require the doctor to be identifiable, the patient to consent, and the prescription to carry your registration. All three are part of the flow rather than something you remember to do.

Questions doctors actually ask

Can I do video consultations with my patients?

Yes, and they run inside the same patient chart rather than on a separate meeting link, so the consultation, the note and the prescription all sit in one place. The video runs on the same AWS infrastructure covered by our Business Associate Agreement.

Does the patient need to install anything?

No. The link opens in their browser. No app, no meeting ID, no account to create, which removes the step that most remote consultations fail at.

Is teleconsultation legal in India?

Yes. The Telemedicine Practice Guidelines set out how a registered practitioner may consult remotely, including identification, consent and prescribing. Medigent's flow is built around those requirements rather than bolted on afterwards.

What happens to the link after the consultation?

It stops working. A join link belongs to one appointment and expires when the call ends, so a forwarded message cannot let anyone into a room later.
